TEN YEARS TRACK-RECORD

My scientific know-how acquired on chemical structural characterization of plastics formulates and related degradation processes by using soft MS methods, was transferred in the last ten years to studies of nanocomposites and hybrid polymeric materials used for environmental purposes. Specifically, I joined multidisciplinary scientific teams, included WATER CNR-IMM group from 2016 to 2020, to successfully tackle polymer-related issues for more sustainable applications. Particularly, the research topics of the EnjoiPol (Environment Joins Polymers) group regard the remediation of polluted water from organic and inorganic toxic contaminants by using polymer-based materials, as well as studies on microplastics pollution.
Since 2011, my fund-raising ability has been attracting national and international funds including also contract with SMEs (with a total budget of about €1.500.000,00), allowing me to increase my management and leadership skills. At the same time, I started new exciting national and international collaborations that include industrial partners, strengthening my competencies also in research technology transfer.
Starting in 2014, I published 43 peer-reviewed papers: 32 regular papers, 4 reviews, 1 conference proceeding, and 3 book chapters. I was also the guest editor of 3 special issues of MPDI and Elsevier and the inventor of 3 patents.
