TEN YEARS TRACK-RECORD

My scientific know-how acquired on chemical structural characterization of plastics formulates and related degradation processes by using soft MS methods, were transferred in the last ten years, on studies of nanocomposites and hybrid polymeric materials for water remediation. Specifically, I joined multidisciplinary scientific teams, included WATER CNR-IMM group from 2016 to 2020, to successfully tackle polymer-related issues for more sustainable applications. Particularly, the research topics of EnjoiPol (Environment Joins Polymers) group, regard the remediation of polluted water from organic and inorganic toxic contaminants by using polymer-based materials, as well as studies on microplastics pollution.
Since 2011, my fund-raising ability has been attracting national and international funds including also contract with SMEs (with a total budget of about €1.000.000,00) allowing me the opportunity to increase my management and leadership skills. At the same time, I started new exciting national and international collaborations that include industrial partners, strengthening my competencies also on the technology transfer.
From 2011, I published 39 peer reviewed papers: 31 regular papers, 2 reviews, 1 conference proceeding, 5 book chapters. I was also guest editor of 2 special issues of MPDI, and first author of a patent.
